Common issues and fixes
- You opened TikGo inside an in-app browser -> Some social-app browsers block downloads or hide the system save dialog. Open the page in Safari, Chrome, Firefox, or Edge.
- The post is private or gone -> TikGo only works with public TikTok links that still load upstream.
- The video still has a watermark -> TikGo can only offer a clean file when TikTok exposes a clean source stream. If the source itself includes a logo layer, that version cannot be stripped on-page.
- Original quality is not shown -> TikGo does not fake higher resolution. If 4K or HD is missing, the source probably did not expose that version.
- A large file does not show an original download button -> To keep the downloader stable, some original downloads above 200 MB may be hidden depending on current load.
- Slides are not bundled into one file -> Use Download All Images to save each slide in order, then compress them locally if you need a ZIP.
- Batch work is slow -> TikGo is designed for one public link at a time, not bulk scraping or automated high-volume workflows.
Quality and compatibility
- MP4 downloads keep the original aspect ratio and frame rate when the source provides them.
- TikGo prefers MP4/H.264 for broad compatibility across phones, tablets, and desktop editors.
