TikGo respects intellectual property rights and reviews copyright complaints involving content accessed through the service. This page explains how to submit a DMCA-style notice, what information we need, and what TikGo can and cannot do after a report is received.

1) Scope

TikGo is a browser-based downloader for public links from supported platforms such as TikTok, Douyin, Facebook, Instagram, and X. If you believe copyrighted material has been accessed improperly through TikGo, you may send us a takedown request for review.

This page applies to reports about access through TikGo itself. If you want the original post removed from the upstream platform, you should also report the content directly to that platform.

TikGo operates independently and is not affiliated with TikTok, Douyin, Facebook, Instagram, or X.

2) What TikGo does and does not do

TikGo tries to help users retrieve files from public post URLs, but there are important limits:

  • TikGo does not operate as a permanent media library.
  • TikGo may process requests in short-lived sessions and retain limited logs for review and abuse prevention.
  • TikGo can restrict or disable access through its own service when a report is valid.
  • TikGo cannot delete or edit the original post on TikTok, Douyin, Facebook, Instagram, X, or another upstream platform.

TikGo also operates independently and is not affiliated with those platforms.

3) When to send a copyright complaint

You should contact TikGo if:

  • you are the copyright owner, or an authorized representative of the owner
  • you believe a public link accessible through TikGo points to material that infringes your rights
  • you can provide enough information for us to understand the complaint and review it responsibly

If your concern is only about the source post staying live on the original platform, report it there as well. TikGo cannot remove the original platform copy.

4) What to include in your notice

Please send the following:

  1. Your name and contact information.
  2. The copyrighted work you claim is being infringed.
  3. The TikGo URL, public post URL, or both, if available.
  4. A brief explanation of why you believe the use is unauthorized.
  5. Evidence of ownership or authority to act on behalf of the owner.
  6. A good-faith statement that the information you provide is accurate.
  7. Your electronic or physical signature.

If you have screenshots or supporting documents, include them. Clear, specific notices are easier to review quickly.

6) How TikGo reviews notices

After receiving a complaint, TikGo may:

  1. review the URLs, evidence, and technical context available
  2. request additional information if the notice is incomplete or unclear
  3. restrict or disable access through TikGo if the complaint appears valid
  4. retain a minimal record of the report for compliance, abuse prevention, or follow-up

TikGo may reject, delay, or close notices that are incomplete, clearly unsupported, abusive, or fraudulent.

7) Disputes and limitations

TikGo does not make broad legal determinations for every dispute. If a claim is unclear, disputed, or incomplete, we may ask for more evidence before taking action.

TikGo also cannot guarantee that every historical request will remain traceable, especially when:

  • a short-lived processing window has passed
  • the relevant logs have expired
  • the issue concerns the upstream platform rather than TikGo's own access path

8) User responsibility

People using TikGo remain responsible for how they download, store, edit, or republish content. Users should only save or reuse content when they have permission, ownership, or another lawful basis to do so.
